Morgan Jones Park

Created in 1934, the park is dedicated to the MP Morgan Jones, who was memorable as a conscientious obejector in the First World War and later the Labour Party's expert of education.

How to get here:

Rail: Aber - Exit right from the station onto Nantgarw Road, then follow it to Crescent Road. Turn left and the park is at the end of the road. (0.3 miles, 6m) +

Rail: Caerphilly - Turn left out of the station and pass the bus station to the main road. Head north on Mountain Road, and then turn left into St Fagans Street. Turn right into Crescent Road and then follow this past the castle to the end; cross over and follow the road opposite to the park. (0.6 miles, 12m) +

Road: A470 - Head along the A470 to the turnoff for Caerphilly, then follow the A468 to the town. Cross over the first roundabout, taking the exit towards town centre (Nantgarw Road). Follow this into town, and when you come to the castle turn right into Crescent Road, there is signed car parking further along on the right. (2.9 miles, 8m) +
