Plas Brondanw is the family home of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, the man behind the creation of Portmeirion. The 12th Century castle in the area was demolished in 1869, ironically to stop it from becoming a tourist attraction!

Road: A5 - Follow the A5, and then head south on the A470 towards Blaenau Ffestiniog. Turn right onto the A496, and then left onto the A487 towards Porthmadog. Turn right onto the B4410 and follow it through to Garreg, turning right and then right onto Plas Brondanw. (11 miles, 17m) +
There is parking near the gardens.
