The Backs are where the back of the colleges open out beside the River Cam.
How to get here:

Rail: Cambridge Station - Head along Station Road, then at the end turn right into Hills Road. Follow the road to the next main junction, crossing over into Regent Street; this continues into St Andrews Street. Turn left into Downing Street; at the end turn right into Trumpington Street and then left into Silver Street. Once you cross the bridge, follow the path on the right to the Backs, which will be just visible from the path. (Alternatively take a punt up the Cam!). +

Bus: Cambridge Bus Station - Walk along Emmanuel Street and then turn left into St. Andrew's Street. Turn right into Downing Street; at the end turn right into Trumpington Street and then left into Silver Street. Once you cross the bridge, follow the path on the right to the Backs, which will be just visible from the path. (Alternatively take a punt up the Cam!). +

Silver Street (Shada). Follow the path south, and it leads to Silver Street. Cross the bridge and continue along the street to its far end.
