Bear Inn

Bisley was an important settlement during the 7th Century. The wool trade was dominant in the area for many years but went into decline during the 19th Century. The Bear Inn was originally the village's court house, built in the early 15th Century, but became the Inn in 1766.

How to get here:

Road: M5 - Exit junction 13 and follow the A419 to Stroud. When you reach the roundabout with the A46, head straight on and turn right (crossing the railway by the station). Turn left into Cornhill, and this will become Parliament Street and then Bisley Old Road. Bear left onto Bisley Road, then follow this to the village, where it becomes Stroud Road and leads to the Inn. (9 miles, 20m) +
