Emmanuel College was founded in 1584 by Sir Walter Mildmay, Chancellor of the Exchequer to Elizabeth I.

Bus: Cambridge Bus Station - Walk along Emmanuel Street and then turn left into St. Andrew's Street. The college is on the left, opposite Downing Street. +

Having searched around the buildings we were unable to find this length of wall where Wilkins is talking to the policeman!

Free School Lane (Shada). Cross the road outside of the college and continue along Downing Street. This becomes Pembroke Street, and then Free School Lane is on the right-hand side.

Bridge Street (Shada). Turn right out of the college along St. Andrew's Street. Bear left onto Sidney Street and then continue along through the pedestrian area. The road eventually leads to Bridge Street.
