The company was originally created to dispose of the topsoil from an area for birds on the Cardiff estuary. It has now become one of the largest recycler and supplier of soil and aggregates in the region.

Neal Soils also own land on Broad Street Common in Peterstone, Wentlooge, near to Swn-y-mor Farm.

This location is private and has no or limited access only. The field itself is private ground, though the buildings are visible from the roadside
