Morlais (The Fires of Pompeii). Road (2.8 miles, 8m) : Follow the one way system to the A4054, turn right, and then right again onto the A4102, heading out of Merthyr Tydfil. At the roundabout at Penydarren, continue across on the High Street. Turn left onto Gellifaelog Old Road; this becomes Rocky Road, and eventually comes to a big roundabout just past the A465. Take the north (4th) exit, cross the A465, and then turn left. Follow this road up to a junction on the left, and the gate to the cliffs is opposite. Uncertain; there is car park further along the road, or it may be possible to park in the housing estate near to the entrance. The current parking coordinates point to the gate near the quarry.
