Ramsbury Airfield
nr Darrell's Farm, Ramsbury, Wiltshire
Ramsbury Airfield began construction in 1941 and was completed in August 1942. It was used by the US Air Force and the RAF during the Second World War, and closed in 1947. The airfield is derelict and not much remains, with the land now part of Darrell's Farm.

Road: A4 - The junction towards Ramsbury airfield lies midway between Hungerford and Marlborough on the A4, on a road heading north to Ramsbury itself. The airfield lies near Darrell's Farm midway between the A4 and Ramsbury. +
There is a layby as the road turns south.
This location is private and has no or limited access only. This is a working farm and buildings/fields etc. are private; however it is possible to access the remaining airfield paving via public footpaths.

"It isn't entirely clear how far along the perimeter road the chase takes place; it seems that the "side road" ahead of Bessie is the one leading to the barns, but the road seems wider - however other shots seems to show the "thinner" road ahead was more overgrown."
