Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal was built as a mausoleum by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th Century in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Now a major tourist attraction, the gardens are open to the public throghout the year, with the mausoleum open at certain times.
