"The woods around Wimbledon Common don't really have enough identifiable features to locate exactly where filming took place; this junction in the woods to the northeast of Wimbledon Windmill is similar to the one on screen!"

Jackie Lane (Dodo): "The common was virtually deserted and it is, of course, quite large, so it was really all over before word got around. The only problem I had was having to jump across a ditch which was, unfortunately, too wide, so I fell into it. I suppose this made it more realistic, although I did end up with very grubby stockings!" (src :On Location, © Richard Bignell)

The police box prop used in the story was a poor version from stock as the normal prop was in use in studio; it had a missing side which was replaced with a wooden painted sheet! (src :On Location, © Richard Bignell)
