Originally a wine distribution warehouse, the Merton Studios were acquired by Thames Television in the 1990s, and shows such as The Bill were filmed there. It was bought by Panther Securities PLC in 2012 and after refurbishment, the new Wimbledon Studios are now considered one of London's major production locations. included The Bill
