Wood Lane Central Line Station
London

Wood Lane's stations were originally opened to service exhibitions that used to take place at what is now White City. The Central Line station was eventually closed in 1947 once the existing White City station had opened (and the Metropolitan Line station was replaced by the BBC's car park!). The station's entrance and much of its structure underground survived through to 2006, but with the building of the new Shepherd's Bush shopping centre and bus station it has all since been demolished (though the front facade was removed to the Acton Museum!).

How to get here:

»

Underground (Central): White City - Walk south along Wood Lane, and the site of the station is to the left after Ariel Way. +

»

Bus: White City Bus Map - The bus station is built upon the site of the old station. +
