Canbury Gardens
Lower Ham Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, KT2 5AU
Canbury Gardens are Victorian in origin, and covers some 14 acres alongside the Thames north of Kingston; it is home to the Kingston Rowing Club and Sigi Cornish Tennis Club, and has a pub, the Boaters Inn. It also hosts Kingston's annual Green Fair.
In 1998 part of the park was converted into new residences, despite public outcry and demonstrations to save some 56 poplar trees!

Bus: Kingston Bus Map - Route 65, the Richmond Road (Woodside Road) stop. Head along Woodside Road and Canbury Gardens are at the end, across Lower Ham Road. +

Road: M3 - Exit at junction one (Sunbury) onto the roundabout and then follow the A308 east towards Hampton Court. Then continue along the A308 to Kingston, crossing the river and then following the one-way system to Richmond Road (A307) to Richmond. Turn left at Eastbury Road and then right into Lower Ham Road - Canbury Gardens is on the left. Parking: roadside (only checked on Sunday). +
