Hound Tor
Manaton, Dartmoor
Hound Tor is a popular rock climbing venue on Dartmoor. The area has an air of mystery surrounding it, and is also believed the Tor gave Conan-Doyle the inspiration for The Hound of the Baskervilles!
How to get here:

Road: A38 - Follow the A38 southwest from Exeter towards Plymouth. When you reach Heathfield, turn right onto the A382 towards Bovey Tracey. Turn left onto the B3387 and follow it to Haytor and then continue on towards Widecombe in the Moor. There is a right turn before the village which leads to Hound Tor. (~20.1 miles, 31m) +
