Road: A350 - The A350 runs between Poole and Blandford Forum; when you reach the junction with the B3075 (near Spetisbury), turn into the opposite road, heading northeast and crossing the river. Follow this road as it bears right and then heads up a hill (single track), and this eventually arrives at Shapwick. Turn right at the crossroads to the church. +

The lych-gate was a prop for the production and was never part of the church itself (there's a famous out-take where the horse knocks the gate down!).

Follow this to Tarrant Keyneston and then turn right at the crossroads. Continue along this road as it bears right through Tarrant Rawston/Tarrant Rushton, and then follow it around to the left into Tarrant Monkton. The ford is at the end of the High Street to the north of the village. Parking: roadside.
