Tangmere Aerodrome
Tangmere, West Sussex
RAF Tangmere was an important base during the Second World War, with many fighter squadrons based there. The history of the site is now marked by the Aviation Museum which is on the edge of the old airfield, now a nursery and fields.

Road: A27 - Tangmere is between Chichister and Arundel off the A27; exit the roundabout signposted Tangmere/Boxglove and follow Meadow Way into the town. Turn left into Tangmere Road, and continue on to the museum. Parking: unknown +

Park Lane (Revelation of the Daleks). Road (1.6 miles, 11m) : Turn right out of the Aviation Museum onto Tangmere Road, then turn right onto Meadow Way. Cross over the A27 onto The Street and follow it to Halnaker. At the village, cross over the A285, then turn right into Park Lane. Park Lane becomes a private road, but is a public bridlepath; you can park at the southern end on the roadside by the houses.
