A4232 (Grangetown/Butetown Link)
Cardiff, Wales
The A4232 (Cardiff Link Road) is a major trunk road connecting Cardiff from the M4, and is still being expanded with the eventual aim of making a "southern ring-road" joining up with the M4 again east of Cardiff. The Grangetown Link section was completed in 1988, and the Butetown Link section in 1995. glued segmental bridge in the UK.
How to get here:
»
Road: M4 - Exit the M4 at junction 33, and head south on the A4232 towards Cardiff until you pass the B4267 (Leckwith) junction. (8.9 miles, 12m) +
NONE! The road is an urban clearway, so you will have to have a passenger taking photos as you drive along the road!
It is possible to walk across the bridge from the Queens Gate junction to the A4055 side across the bay, which will enable you to take photos in a less"snap-n-grab" fashion.
