Cinecittà Film Studios
Via Tuscolana 1055, 00173 Rome, Italy
"Cinema City" was founded in 1937 by Benito Mussolini, but was bombed during WWII. Afterwards it became a focal point of Italian film-making, principly for the director Federico Fellini; international films such as Ben Hur and more recently Gangs of New York were also filmed there. It was privatised by the Italian Government in the 1980s.
