Wallis House was designed by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners, and was built between 1936 and 1942. Originally for Simmonds Aerocessories, it was then used by Beecham's Pharmaceuticals. In 2005 the premises were empty, and permission being sought to redevelop the buildings as residential flats by Barratt Homes. The building itself is now listed so needs to be preserved.
