Sheepcote Valley
Wilson Avenue, Brighton
Formerly known as Sheepcote Rubbish Tip
The valley is the site of a former rubbish tip which existed since the early twentieth century. Due to the unstable nature of the decades of rubbish it has been left to nature.
How to get here:

Road: A27 - Follow the A27 to between Brighton and Lewes. At Falmer, turn onto the B2123 towards Saltdean. When you reach the traffic lights at Woodingdean, turn right onto Warren Road and follow it until you reach the racecourse on your left. Turn left at the traffic lights into Wilson Avenue. +
There is a gravel layby next to the grassland near the racecourse and Warren Road.

High Park Farm (The War Games). Road (7.3 miles, 15m) : Head north on Wilson Avenue and turn right onto Warren Road. When you reach the junction with the B2123 at Woodingdean, turn left and continue on to the A27. Join the A27 heading west (Brighton) and then continue until the Ditchling turnoff. Head north across the A27 and along Coldean Lane, then take the first left into Ditchling Road. Follow this along until you reach the farm, which will be on the right-hand side. Limited, by farm gate.
