Blist's Hill opened in 1973. At that point it was simply called the Open Air Museum, and did not have the Victorian "community" that exists today. Over the years various Victorian machinery, items, and even buildings have been rescued and brought to the site, which now has over 40 different exhibits.
Admission: £9.00. A passport ticket allows access to all of Ironbridge museums, including Coalport China Museum; it costs £14.00.

Road: M54 - Exit the M54 at junction 5, and follow the A5(T) to the next roundabout, with the A442. Head south and follow it as it bears left and then immediately exit to the roundabout with the A4169 (signposted for Ironbridge Gorge). Go round the roundabout and head under the A442, and then cross over the next roundabout along Kemberton Road. At the next roundabout take the second exit onto Legges Way (signposted Victorian Town). Blists Hill will be on the left hand side. +

Cross over onto Kemberton Road and continue until you reach the roundabout
with the A442. Head north and bear right along the A442 and then continue
past Telford until you reach the B4373. From here turn right on the
roundabout and follow the B4373 towards Donnington Wood. Pass the ASDA
and then at the next roundabout cross over onto Granville Road. Continue
along here until you reach the nature reserve car park. Nature Reserve car park (free).
