This is a private house; at the time of filming in 1987 it was under sale and only had some maintenance staff living on the premises.

Road: M25 - Exit junction 18 and head west towards Amersham. When you pass under the railway bridge for Chalfont and Latimer, turn left at the roundabout towards the Chalfonts (B4442). Elmswell House is on the right-hand side along Nightingales Lane, not too far before Roughwood Lane - the house has a sign. Parking: roadside. +

Turn left onto the A413 at the roundabout and follow it south; when you reach the roundabout signposted for Chalfont St. Peter, enter the village and there is a small side road leading into St. Peter's Court almost immediately on the left. Parking: anywhere in the court.

Turn left onto the A413 at the roundabout and follow it south; when you reach the roundabout signposted for Chalfont St. Peter, enter the village and then turn right into Church Lane; the car park is along the road next right.
