Marlow's weir was originally in place to hold back water for local mills in the area, and was said to be dangerous due to the sharp bend under the bridge. The existing weir was built in the same place.

How to get here:

Road: A404 - Follow the A404 until you reach the turnoff for Marlow; take the roundabout exit west into Marlow on the A4155. Continue into town, and when you reach the High Street, turn left into it and follow it to the bridge. Cross over, and turn left into The Compleat Angler hotel/restaurant. The weir can be viewed from the riverbank behind the hotel. Parking: car park. +

The weir is not publicly accessible (far side of the river from the hotel), so this is the only angle you can achieve for this location.
