Treowen Manor
Wanastow, Monmouth, NP25 4DL

Treowen was built in the early 17th Century by Wiliam Jones; when the family moved to Llanarth Court in the 1670s the manor became a tennant farmhouse until finally becoming private in 1945. It is now a private self-catering mansion housing large parties up to 40 people.

How to get here:

Road: A40 (from west Wales) - Follow the A40 to Raglan, then bear left onto Groesonen Road, just before the junction with the A449. Follow the road as it passes under the A40, then turn left towards Dingestow. At the village, turn right and then the manor road will be on the left. (3.7 miles, 7m) +

Road: A40 (from Monmouth) - Exit at the B4293, and then turn right towards Monmouth. Turn left onto Link Road, and then at the end, turn left onto Wonastow Road. Stay on the road and you'll eventually reach the manor house turning on the right. (3.8 miles, 7m) +

Road: A449 (from Newport) - Bear left when you reach the A40 (Raglan), and then turn right into Groesonen Road. Follow the road as it passes under the A40, then turn left towards Dingestow. At the village, turn right and then the manor road will be on the left. (3.8 miles, 7m) +

This location is private and has no or limited access only. The house is private, and is often hired out to private parties. However, it is possible to arrange a visit with the owners. A small fee is applicable.
